2026 Annual Meeting

Nemont's 76th Annual Meeting

Powered Together: Nemont’s 76th Annual Meeting Highlights Local Leadership and 2026 Growth

Nemont’s Annual Meeting of Members was a huge success, drawing nearly 386 attendees. We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout from our communities.

As a token of our appreciation, every attending member received a $75 bill credit and was entered into a drawing for $3,000 in cash prizes. Plus, Nemont held a special kids’ drawing for a Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle.

District 3 Board Election Results

A crucial part of our annual meeting is the election of officers to Nemont’s Board of Directors. Like other community-focused organizations, telecommunications cooperatives such as Nemont rely on a dedicated board with leadership roles like President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer. Our board also includes Directors representing specific districts within our service territory, each of whom plays a vital role in guiding Nemont.

Jeff Pattison defeated Levi Sugg in the District 3 race, securing another term on the Nemont Board of Directors. Jeff is a valuable asset to our board, bringing his experience in the Montana Legislature and his deep knowledge of board dynamics, fiscal oversight, and policymaking. As a third-generation farmer and rancher living along the Milk River, Jeff literally lives the lifestyle of our rural customers. He understands firsthand the critical need for reliable internet, cellular, and landline connectivity for agricultural businesses and rural families, ensuring the board’s decisions remain deeply connected to the community’s actual needs.

We want to extend our sincere appreciation to Levi Sugg for his interest in serving on the board of directors and for putting his name forward in this year’s election. We are deeply grateful for his willingness to serve and his commitment to putting community first. Thank you, Levi, for your continued support of our cooperative.

The Cooperative Spirit

“As a cooperative, we are unique. We are not driven by investors. We are guided by local leadership and owned by the members we serve. That means every decision we make is centered on long-term value for our communities. It means we invest where others may not and will not. It means we remain committed even when the challenges are significant, because this is our home too!” — Josh Jensen, CEO

In 2025, Nemont invested more than $117,000 in donations, scholarships, and sponsorships across our local service area. In an industry often dominated by faceless national giants, we believe being a regional provider gives us a distinct hometown advantage—because we aren’t just operating in these communities, we’re from the communities we serve.

Following a major fiber expansion in the Wolf Point area in 2025, our 2026 construction is already underway to bring high-speed connectivity to even more neighbors.

“The phrase ‘Powered Together’ captures that spirit. It means that every mile of fiber we lay, every tower we upgrade, and every service improvement we make doesn’t happen because of a single person or department. It happens because of the collective commitment of our board, our employees, and—most importantly—you, our members.” — Josh Jensen, CEO
