Broadband Consumer Labels
The Broadband Label Initiative is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandate that requires internet service providers to display labels for broadband services. The labels are intended to help consumers make informed decisions about broadband services by providing key information, such as prices, speeds, fees, and data allowances.
The labels are similar to nutrition labels for food products and must be displayed at the point of sale, including online and in-store.
The Broadband Label Initiative is part of the FCC's Open Internet Transparency Rule, which aims to improve consumer rights and access to information in the digital age.
